Without Mr. Ellis, Henry Street School would be boring. Not only would be boring, it would be chaotic.
What does he do in this school? Mr. Ellis is a Dean. Deans are responsible for handling disciplinary issues. To be a good dean, you need to be confident, honest, funny, and get along with students.
Mr. Ellis has been the dean of Henry Street School for the past 3 years. He first started his career as a gym teacher at Tilden High School. He worked there for 3 years. He then came to Henry Street in 2009 as a gym teacher. Another 3 years later, he became a dean.
When asked why he became a dean, Mr. Ellis explained that he enjoys building relationships with students.
Mr. Ellis is a big fan of basketball. When he is not building relationships as a dean, he builds them on the basketball court. He is currently the head coach of the Henry Street basketball team. This requires many hours of his schedule.
Although he has yet to win a championship, he enjoys coaching basketball and wouldn’t have it any other way.
