Anita Bonner, Asst. Principal

Anita is a Brooklyn “girl at heart” – having been raised here in NYC.  She graduated from a Historically Black College & University -- North Carolina A&T State University.  Returning to New York, she later received her Masters Degree from Teachers College Columbia University and attained her Administration & Supervision Certification from Hunter.  Anita is humbled to have a 20+ year trajectory as an educator in the school system that she herself attended.  Her career experiences have spanned geographically in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Manhattan.  In her spare time, she loves to read, write, travel, and listen to gospel & jazz music.

Miles grew up in a small seaside town on the coast of England. He has been an educator for the past 22 years teaching and coaching in England, Chile and the United States. Becoming principal of this “hidden gem”  in the Lower East Side has been the pinnacle of his career.

Dayna Sedillo-Hamann, Community School Director

Dayna is a Brooklyn-native and a licensed social worker. She has worked in high schools for nearly a decade and has loved every minute of it! She holds a BA from Grinnell College and an MSW from Hunter. This is her 4th year at OCA.
